Norwich 0-1 Derby County

On the fourth game of the season, Derby get points on the board. After a slow game and a Pukki penalty miss, Wayne Rooney’s free kick gives the Rams all three points.

The visitors were coming off a turgid start to the season which included a 4-0 loss at home to Blackburn the week prior. They were playing the Canaries who have had a mixed start to the season having picked up four points in the first three games.

The aforementioned penalty was awarded after Norwich moved the ball around well and Hernandez’s shot was blocked by Evans’ arm. However, the home side didn’t capitalise as their talisman slipped and hit the ball over the bar.

It was a game with few chances which made the penalty miss more damning for Farke. Cocu’s side got the win after Derby’s captain rolled back the years with a central free kick placed into the top corner.
